I did not purchase this product, however it was given to me while on deployment in Afghanistan. I was trying to cut weight and was using this shake as a meal replacement. I love strawberries anyway, so the flavor tasted great to me. I mixed it with water or fruit juice. I was taking these shakes for breakfast and dinner with fruit and would have a small meal during lunch. Even though I was putting my body through the stress of eating next to nothing and burning 900+ calories on the treadmill per day, with these shakes I still felt great and had energy.I looked into the price of the shake and was surprised at how expensive it is. That is why I gave it only 3 stars. I understand that it contains all natural ingredients, but I think if they lowered the price they would have alot more customers.I doubt I will purchase it solely because of the cost.This doesn't deserve the one star that I rated it but it was the lowest score Amazon will allow. I'm a 45 year old female who is well beyond the mellow dramatic stage of life. I don't complain much. Most of my reviews are filled with compliments but not this one of them. Don't waste your money on this! If you insist on trying it only buy the samples first or you will be extremely disappointed and out a lot of cash like me. Those who claim it tastes great are lying to you probably because they got caught up in a pyramid scheme selling it! I bought one of the 24 packs with chocolate, strawberry and vanilla flavors. I was afraid it would have a vitaminy taste to it like many do...I only wish that was the case! I tried the vanilla first mixing one packet to 8 ounces of unsweetened vanilla flavored almond milk. It was the worst tasting weight loss shake I've ever had in my entire life! So I thought I would add some pb2 to see if it would improve the taste. Wrong!!! Instead of it tasting like peanut butter it was still tasted horrible...the shakeology even over powered the 2 heaping tablespoons of pb2 that I had added. Liquid soap would have tasted better! It even left my throat burning. They claim it is made with all of these nutritious vegetables but it tastes more like the pesticides that they would spray on it to keep the bugs away! A few minutes later I pored the rest of it down the drain. After my throat stopped burning I thought I would try the strawberry. So I opened the package and the wonderful aroma of strawberry came out. I thought maybe I would have better results this time...wrong again! Same exact flavor! The only difference was the strawberry turned pink when I shook it up. A few minutes after dumping the remainder of the strawberry out and my throat stopped burning for the second time I worked up the courage to mix one of the packets of chocolate shakeology and 8 ounces of unsweetened vanilla almond milk to find that it had a slightly better flavor than the strawberry and vanilla but that's still not saying much for the flavor because it still didn't taste good at all. For the third time now my throat stated burning again! A few minutes later I added 2 heaping tablespoons of chocolate pb2 to see if it would help with the taste...maybe a little but not much. It still had a heavy chemical taste to it.I have done liquid diets before for several weeks at a time and tried several different brands of weight loss shakes over the years. My favorite by far is idealshape weight loss shake. Strawberry, chocolate and vanilla idealshape shakes all are nutritious, taste awesome and are much cheaper than many other weight loss shakes. The best part is that I've lost more weight using idealshape and kept it off as long as I was using it.I had mine with Orange juice and coconut water and it was pretty good. I think it would have been better if I added some fruit as well. I am considering buying it again. I only purchased the sample via beachbody website.My sister bought this and gave me 2 boxes (2 month supply of the stuff). It is very convenient to put in a blender bottle with almond milk when I am going to school in the morning. Also love that it is pretty low on calories and is whey free since I am allergic to milk protein. However the taste is not all that great and the texture is very grainy.I use tropical strawberry all the time. Shakeology has the best nutrients than most any other protein shake out there plus . I make a smoothie every morning and have been for over 3 yrs. At least 5 days a week. I am NOT a seller or coach ,not involved in the pyramid.I have autoimmune issues and this has helped me tremendously, also has helped cut my sweet cravings. I purchase directly from Beachbody though..Just saw the 1 review here and needed to add my experience.I've only tried this flavor and I do not like it. I have all I can do to gag it down. I have blended it with berries, banana, and several other ingredients and all I taste is chalk. Yuck. I can't get that nasty chalk texture out of my mouth.I really do love the regular chocolate and vanilla flavor but I am not a fan of this vegan strawberry at all. It does not really taste like strawberry and more like medicine. :-/I'm sticking with chocolate or vegan chocolate. This vegan strawberry tastes like pureed Flintstones vitamins....BLEGH!
